Counselling / Therapy / Mental Health / Social Work

Stephanie has a Master’s Degree in social work and has been working in the mental health field for 15 years. She enjoys working with individuals, couples, families, and youth, and has had the privilege of supporting diverse communities, including faith communities, LGBTQ2+ folks and Indigenous peoples.

Before moving into private practice, she gained experience in a variety of areas, including: • Health care • Indigenous-specific services • Federal corrections (CSC) • Mental health • Psychiatric care • Trauma treatment • Substance use • Harm reduction • Street outreach

Stephanie’s passion lies in helping clients process and heal trauma in a safe and supportive environment. She believes our brains and bodies are the key to healing—and that through evidence-based trauma approaches, people can reduce symptoms, reclaim resilience, and move toward wellness. Much of her work is using an attachment-focused, trauma-informed lens with clients who have experienced trauma, mental health concerns and substance use. Stephanie is trained in the following therapy modalities:

Brainspotting, EMDR, Attachment-Focused EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, CBT for Psychosis, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Horticulture Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, Rapid Resolution Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy and Emotion-Focused Family Therapy. In addition, at a client’s request, I can offer counselling using a Christian world-view in any area of need.
